Hyrams’ selfless skincare is a showstopper since it’s called the trend of the year. It has received tons of not only praise but also criticism. Thus, purchasing a series of products that are popular is quite a challenge.

Official Selfless By Hyram skincare is only released on Sephora stores in Hong Kong. It always gets sold out, reserving products online on Sephora isn’t allowed. So, the only way I could purchase the full set was to call the stores beforehand and ask if they’re available. Most stores had some of the products, but not the full set.

I finally got hands on the full set but it was really costly, $2460 for a set? with only 5 products that would only last two months max? uhmm…now that was uneasy for me since I’m a struggling student and can only afford allowance by working part-time so that amount was a big deal for me. I managed to purchase it anyways despite my doubts if it was worth it but that’s what my project was about and I went for it.

I have a lot of expectations regarding the products and if they would improve my skin as Hyram claims. The major reasons are that I have spent most of my income and have trusted Hyram for a really long time.

Daily, I followed his guidelines and used the products as leniently as possible. I would also do some research on his environmental claims after my morning and night routine bit by bit to sort of get things done more productively.

A week later, my skin started flaring up whenever I applied the evening moisturiser and the retinol would burn and irritate my skin. It was really uncomfortable and I immediately stopped using the two products but kept using other products.

Hyram, claims that his skincare line is good for all skin type. After this skin condition I had to face, I could swear that it isn’t ! as much as I respect Hyram, he shouldn’t falsely advertise his products. I love his cleanser and it was one of my most favourite products introduced by Hyram. the soothing after effect and jelly like texture was a bonus. it always helped brighten up my skin and help me feel refreshed. I will continue using that.

Two weeks later, my acne scars weren’t Improving, they were slowly fading out while I was on my normal skincare routine by Cerave. But, this new routine stopped the healing process which made me really upset. it is the main reason I took the photos of my skin down from this blog.
