Working full-time and the lack of basic knowledge on video making made my editing look really simple. I tried to go through some online tutorials and even bought the premium version of VideoLeap so as to learn better and create a better video.When you’re learning, you frequently don’t know what you don’t know.

I had always thought that editing would be just a few clips away if no facial modification is needed. I was really wrong. Each function has a different technique to learn, just by moving background music and adding voice over isn’t enough.

I had received some valuable comments on my previous video such as having the camera facing towards a certain angle to further enhance its quality. I tried that this time but turns out, it was still tough for me since I got a but insecure about my facial features. So I stuck to making slides then converting it to video format.

My friends noticed that I had added more visuals and a video clip to make my video more interesting. However, as Iram suggested, it still could’ve been better if I added at least 3 short clips. Makes sense since no one likes to watch a video full of words. (even though mine wasn’t, I’d still had preferred it if it had more visual elements.) I believe that inserting small snippets and films would have increased the amount of attention given to my video. In addition, I believe that using brief excerpts and video helps the audience to pay greater attention to what is being said. The delivering of my messages would have been simpler in this scenario.

Ikki had suggested me to use certain sources, I used one from her suggestion but since I had made amendments to my topic, I couldn’t fully make use of her good suggestions. I believe that in the future, I would be more considerate and say more attention to my classmates suggestions, they often give valuable advice and look up great sources that I couldn’t find.

Iram noticed that my voice over had improved since it hadn’t overlapped in my video. The pitch and tone was clear for the entire video . This made it easier for my audience to listen and note my points.

The editing still needs to be polished up, since I’ve already made a purchase of premium editing, I might as well spend some free time working on this skill. It is gonna be useful in this technology era.

I will also try to find more interesting facts and videos to include in may video next Time and try to ask questions from may audiences to further enhance engagement.
