After significant research on the use of robots in hospitals, I have gained knowledge on their use and issues regarding the concept

My voice isn’t so clear in the video since I have just recovered and apologise for my sore throat.

Despite the ethical issues regarding the use of robots or their possibility of taking over workforce, I am certain that in the next 5 years, robots will be the best hospital assistants and a nurses self sanitising right hands.

The benefits of having robots doing the dirty work and keeping nurses and doctors relatively safer from contracting contagious diseases overweighs all the doubts.

I believe that well monitored robotics systems would distinguish the possibility of robots having their one minds and breaking free from human control.

Through the process of research, I have used a lot of real life examples and chose two movies that have positive representation of robots supporting my stance on them. Including, Robot and Frank and Baymax Big Hero 6.

Hope you’re doing well now!

Your video had confused me a little at the beginning, as I was trying to figure out whether it’s a DA blog or presentation. However, after listening more from your video, I feel like it was overall good. Other than that, I figured out some more suggestions for you.

1) I hope you can make use of readings or scholarly articles to refer back to your DA next time.
2) I did not see the progress you’ve made to your digital artefact so far, maybe you can tell us more about how you will be making use of different information collected
3) Also, try to relate the DA back with lecture notes (I have to do the same, haha)

I like how your digital artefact blogs have stated the movies reference you have taken!

Hello Sadia, nice presentation video and topic. The topic of your DA is relevant to the future integrations of robots in different types of industries especially healthcare.

The idea of conducting research about robots in assistive roles in the healthcare industry in 5 years time from now is good, and since technology has been rising rapidly, you certainly have lots of examples to choose from. To further enhance your research, have a look at this comprehensive and detailed journal article: https://www.nature.com/articles/s42256-020-00238-2

To provide a suggestion, it would be even better to have a brief example of the topic 10-15 years later into the future because it would mean more advanced concepts and how the technology will possibly differ from current examples of robots in the field of healthcare. Hopefully it will enable you to go even into the subject. For example as you mentioned, Robot and Frank surely explores the use of robots to assist humans for things such as daily tasks and medical care.
